Tetas, Toddlers and Tapas

In honour of our latest Tier 2 venue and National Spanish Day (Fiesta Nacional de EspaƱa), we are doing something a little different than our usual for our next event.

Come to Porta Salford on Friday 11th October between 12 and 2pm and enjoy an array of delicious tapas whilst your toddler has an hour-long Spanish lesson provided by the fabulous Catharine from Lingotot North Manchester.

Lingotot is a tailor-made language programme for babies and toddlers, and if you’ve never tried it before, this is an excellent opportunity for your child to have a taster. Catharine is a fully qualified Spanish teacher who teaches everyone from babies to grown ups!

Speaking of tasters, here’s a look at the tapas food you (and your toddler) can enjoy:

– Patatas bravas (sauce on the side in case of any fussy children!)

– Potato, egg and onion tortilla

– Chorizo, iberico and lomo salamis

– Bread and olive oil

– Olives

– Mozzarella, tomato and basil

The delicious Tapas which will be served by Porta Salford

Drinks (including alcoholic, hot drinks and soft drinks) will be available on the day so feel free to enjoy Porta’s delicious selection whilst your child soaks up some new skills.

BOOBS will also be holding discussions about breastfeeding toddlers, a subject which often gets overlooked, and of course our volunteers will be on hand to provide breastfeeding support to any mum who needs it.

The food is included for both you and your child – plus any extra children are free of charge! Please let us know in advance of any dietary requirements for any members of your party.

Car parking is available on both a paid car park (Chapel Street car park) or free if you can find a space in the surrounding areas. Porta is a short walk, taxi ride or bus route away from the city centre (buses 8, 10, 67 or 100 stop right outside Victoria train station and buses 36, 37 and 38 go from Piccadilly).
