A BOOBS Approved venue has won Community Business of the Year 2019 at the Salford Business Awards.
Playkidds is a soft play centre plus a wrap-around school and holiday club in Swinton, and was one of the first businesses to sign up to BOOBS Approved back in 2016.
Since they signed up, they have implemented activity sessions for parents and babies such as ‘mini movers’, built a sensory room, and even have a mascot called ‘Karefull Kidd’ who has written and narrated a series of books such as ‘Ready for Road Safety’, ‘Ready to Recycle’ and ‘Ready to eat healthy’.
The award was presented to Father and Son team Greg and Matthew O’Neill on Thursday 31st October during the Salford Business awards, held at the Lowry Hotel in Salford.
Greg told us: “At Playkidds we are passionate about our place in the community. We have tried wherever possible to support many different organisations and individuals who we believe could benefit from our help.
“When Playkidds was announced as the community business of the year at the Salford business awards 2019, we were delighted and believe that our support for the community was recognised.
“We will continue to help and support our community and hopefully will do so for a long time in the future.”
It was a good night for other BOOBS Approved businesses as The Lowry was runner up in the community business category, and a finalist in the Inspiring Young People award.
Newly BOOBS Approved Ladybirds Private Day Nurseries, who won Business of the year in 2017, sponsored the Rising Star award, with Owner Lyn Blay presenting the award.
